Originally created in the USA and perfected by Dutch breeders, this strain now boasts some of the highest yields in the industry. By crossbreeding our famous Big Bud (with Afghan, Skunk #1, White Widow genetics) with a potent hybrid (Old Afghani x Skunk #1 x Northern Light), SUMO SEEDS has developed a powerhouse plant. True to its namesake, Sumo’s Big Bud features massive, dense buds reminiscent of a sumo wrestler.

Sumo’s Big Bud is a fast-flowering strain, taking only 7 to 8 weeks indoors. While it may not grow tall, the sheer weight of its budding branches suggests support might be needed to prevent breakage. Outdoors, this strain can reach up to 160 cm in height and develops a bushy structure laden with compact and dense flowers. Its deep indica green color and large leaves are characteristic features.

Despite its moderate stature, Sumo’s Big Bud is a prolific yielder. Indoors, it can produce between 480-600g/m2, while outdoor growth can yield 400-500 grams per plant, with potential for higher yields in warmer climates. The effects are those of a typical indica—deeply relaxing and sedative, ideal for nighttime use or combating ailments like headaches, ADD/ADHD, and nausea. It carries a sweet and earthy flavor profile with a hint of grape and a slightly woodsy aroma.
